The 80’s was one of the best decades for music and entertainment. The 80’s were the decade for style and new wave. Rock music was getting popularity since 60’s to 70’s. But in the 80’s the rock music has some difficulties since a lot of their albums didn’t make their expected success. Even some failed to hit singles. Guns N’ Roses

Guns N’ Roses released their debut album “Appetite for Destruction” in 1987 and they took a storm in the world by their 1st album. It brought with them a huge popularity introducing three biggest hits ever, “Paradise City, “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine”. Guns N’ Roses band is most known for its member’s powerful rock anthem and extensive guitar playing specially Slash, who reached the guitar playing to a new height. They released “Use Your Illusion” album in 1991. It was also made a craze to the rock band lovers and they seemed to be a strong band. Today, the famed Las Vegas concert schedule is one of the few venues that doesn’t struggle to attract bands as popular as this one. Some of their other hit singles were “November Rain” and “Yesterdays”. This band also made some rocking covers to “Knockin’ on Heven’s Door”, “Live and Let Die” and “Sympathy for the Devil”. Their last actual album was “The Spaghetti Incident?” in 1993. After Slash’s departure in 1996, this band was fading away.

Later, Van Halen with David Lee Roth managed to deliver some powerful hits like, “Runnin’ with the Devil”, “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love”, “Eruption”, Dance the Night Away” and “Jamie’s Cryin’” and covers of “Dancing in the Street”, “Oh Pretty Woman” and “You ReallY Got Me”. Later, David Lee Roth was replaced by Sammy Hagar and then, Van Helen started to lose their reputation. Their last actual strong hit was “Right Now” in 1991. After then Van Halen lost its popularity.

Bon Jovi is another popular rock band of 80’s. This band came a long way Jon Bon Jovi is the lead singer of this band. This band started its journey in the mid 80’s. Bon Jovi delivered hard sounding lyrical songs like “Livin’ on a Prayer’, “Wanted Dead or Alive”, “It’s My Life” and “You Gave Love a Bad Name”. “It’s My Life” sill now make a craze among the young people when someone sing it.

Aerosmith

Aerosmith had huge popularity in 70’s. They were able to keep the popularity till 1977. But they made a strong comeback in 1987 and got huge popularity again.

They delivered a number of hit songs that period. Some of their hits were, “Rag Doll”, “The Other Side” and “Dude (Looks Like A Lady)”. They also made some fine ballads such as “Crazy”, “Cryin’”, “Angel”, “What it takes” and “Amazing”. Aerosmith still holds its popularity.

Though 80’s were not so much successful decade for various rock bands, but some rock bands managed to get popularity at that crucial time and they delivered many hit albums and singles. They were successful to make craze among the rock music fans.
